EXOPOLITICAL DISCLOSURE: Little Green Men - A Look At The Official Soviet X-Files Investigation!

Evgeny Tonkonogy

April 1, 2016 -  RUSSIA - It was 4:05 a.m. on Sept. 20, 1977. Something serious was happening over the skies of Petrozavodsk in northwest Russia.

A group of dockworkers on the early shift that morning say they saw a blinding light emerge from the direction of Lake Onega. As it approached Petrozavodsk, the light took on the appearance of a glimmering jellyfish, before slowing to a hover and unleashing a salvo of ultra-thin beams of light.

The dockworkers were left wondering what they had seen. Some were concerned they were witnessing a nuclear attack: This was, after all, the height of the Cold War.

But that did not explain what came next. After 12 puzzling minutes, the shining object transformed into a bright semicircle and jetted off back toward Lake Onega. Rather than disappearing over the horizon, it appeared to veer upward, before punching a burning red hole in the clouds, and disappearing into the abyss.

No one died, and the United States, it seemed, was not involved.

The Petrozavodsk jellyfish was not the first time a UFO had been spotted over the territory of the Soviet Union, but few sightings had ever been corroborated by so many people. Policemen, sailors, an ambulance crew and even a reporter for the TASS news agency all claimed to have seen the object. The TASS reporter filed his story three days later under the headline: "A strange natural phenomena over Karelia."

Neighboring governments became alarmed, suspecting the Soviets had tested a new type of weapon. They demanded an explanation from Moscow, but Soviet leaders were apparently just as baffled. Officials even turned to the Academy of Sciences — the highest collection of scientific minds in the communist bloc — for an explanation. The Academy had no satisfactory answer, concluding that the UFO was a real physical phenomenon that required further study.

As Soviet UFO enthusiasts began promoting their own interpretations, the Kremlin convened an unprecedented meeting of military and scientific experts. They all agreed the UFO issue was too big to ignore, and resolved to launch a state investigation into the phenomenon.

Managed by the Defense Ministry and Academy of Sciences, the secret investigation began in 1978 and would run to the end of the Soviet era.

The Network
The secret Soviet X-files investigation came to be known in government circles as The Network, and was the largest official investigation into the UFO phenomenon ever conducted. For 13 years, The Network was tasked not with the simple collection of UFO reports — this was left to amateurs — but with understanding them scientifically.

The man tapped to lead the project was a young astrophysicist named Yuly Platov. Now in his 80s, Platov told The Moscow Times that he found out about the project in conversation with the head of his institute. He realized it would be an opportunity to flex his scientific muscles, and so pressed his boss to be given the chance to take part. A few days later he was contacted, quite unexpectedly, and put in charge of the entire project.

Initially the work was top secret. "Maybe we would really find aliens or maybe our findings would have military applications," Platov says. "It wasn't clear at the start what we might find."

The Network was made up of 20 organizations staffed by specialists in physics, chemistry, optics and spectroscopy. "So many people from different professions had to be united," Platov says. "I was the one who had to unite them, and that was difficult, especially for someone like me."

The astrophysicist also had to coordinate his efforts with a parallel structure in the Defense Ministry, which was not without cultural difficulties. "If a scientist is faced with something he doesn't understand, he tries to explore and study the phenomenon," Platov said. "But if something isn't clear for the military, then it is a possible target, or a potential enemy."

The Network gathered data from two main sources. The Academy of Sciences provided reports submitted by Soviet citizens or scientific institutes. The Defense Ministry collected data from soldiers serving in the Soviet military, who were required to report any strange phenomena, especially if it interfered with hardware.

Over the course of its existence, The Network would receive some 3,000 reports of UFO sightings. In the beginning, things were more difficult, and Platov's team instead relied on the research of independent UFO enthusiasts. King among such enthusiasts was an astronomer by the name of Felix Zigel, considered by many followers to be the founding father of Russian UFO studies.

Zigel was obsessive in collecting witness reports over the years, but all of it was unverified. Platov's organization got to work checking the data. Occasionally, a fresh report would prove intriguing enough to persuade Platov and his team to go into the field to investigate.

Platov recalls several fruitless trips to verify Zigel's UFO sightings. The first report came from a 10-year-old boy named Nikita, who claimed to have witnessed a UFO taking off from a field in suburban Moscow. However, when Platov arrived at the Nikita's apartment to ask questions, the boy began to sob uncontrollably. "He looked at his uncle, all doe-eyed, and admitted making it all up," says Platov.

On another outing, Platov's research ream joined Zigel's amateur investigators on a field trip. "Zigel was the chief, the big boss for these guys," Platov says. "Pity he wasn't much of a scientist."

Zigel's research methods were certainly unorthodox. According to Platov, the UFO researcher asked a female colleague to walk around the scene of a reported UFO landing, telling her to stand in various locations and say if she felt strange energy. "Wherever he put her, she'd say 'no,' but he wouldn't give up," says Platov. "Finally, she said she felt something, and he was satisfied."

The team from the academy watched the experiment with detached amusement. After a while, one of them called out to Zigel and joked that he should blindfold her to improve accuracy. The enthusiast was not amused. It was the last time Zigel's organization cooperated with The Network. "When he realized that we weren't obsessed by looking for little green men, he drifted away," says Platov.

Zigel's Disciples
While Platov and his team plugged away at their investigation, Zigel continued his own search for the truth until his death in 1988. He built his own parallel team of scientists and amateurs to investigate what he believed to be a genuine paranormal or alien phenomenon. He also cultivated close ties with Western ufologists, who began publishing his case books.

After his death, Zigel's legacy was continued by several disciples from the original research group. They continue working to this day, and chief among them is Alexander Semyonov, who leads a group called Ecology of the Unknown.

Like his mentor, Semyonov is a true believer. Like other Russian UFO enthusiasts, he believes UFOs explain much of the technological superiority of the United States over Russia. B-2 stealth bombers and iPhones are the direct result of the Pentagon being more in tune with UFOs than the Russian Defense Ministry, they say.

Joseph Kellner, an academic specializing in the Russian UFO movement, describes the efforts of these amateur investigators as "romantic," and borne out of a "suspicion of the academic mainstream."

Much of what they base their understanding of UFOs on was imported from Western UFO mythology, says Daniel Galaydow, the official UFO correspondent for the Vechernyaya Moskva newspaper. He is skeptical of many reports from the 1990s, suspicious that jobless military and intelligence officers were creating stories to conform to Western UFO traditions, and then selling them to foreign UFO researchers.

Yet Galaydow remains insistent that UFOs are a reality, and says the best evidence of this comes from the late Soviet period. He speaks of sources in the military-industrial community showing him evidence of a flying saucer crash in Vladivostok in 1986, with the remains supposedly recovered by the Soviet military.

"I don't know whether or not Russian science has research centers that can reverse engineer captured UFOs and interrogate their alien crews to understand their technology," Galaydow says. "Though, I suppose, if we had alien technology, our government would have already used it in this new standoff with the United States."

One Last Puzzle
When it made its conclusions in 1990, the official results of The Network's 13-year inquiry into UFOs concluded that there was no substantive evidence of alien visitation. Just 300 of the 3,000 or so cases they investigated from 1978 to 1990 were considered legitimately anomalous. The other 90 percent were easily explained by man-made activity: usually involving aerospace technology, such as rocket launches and light reflecting off the cylindrical and triangle shaped weather balloons used by research institutes around the world.

While true believers hang on to those 300 reports, they now generally accept that rocket launches were often misreported as alien activity. The Petrozavodsk jellyfish was no exception.

As soon as the Western press began reporting the Petrozavodsk event, it caught the attention of a young engineer half a world away. Dr. James Oberg was a mission controller at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. As a keen observer of Russian spaceflight, he thought he knew what was going on over Petrozavodsk.

Oberg telephoned NASA's satellite tracking center to check whether the Soviets launched something from the top-secret cosmodrome in nearby Plesetsk. The response he received was interesting. There had been a launch at 3:58 a.m. on Sept. 20, he was told, just minutes before the Petrozavodsk UFO was sighted. It appears that the rigid compartmentalization of information in the Soviet Union prevented anyone in Russia from connecting the dots sooner.

Over the years, Oberg made a name for himself as a debunker of Soviet UFO reports, showing time and time again how UFO sightings corresponded with recorded launches of secret space hardware.

the one described by Soviet citizens in 1967.  SpaceX

One famous incident from nearly 50 years ago, however, remained stubbornly unexplainable.

On the evening of July 17, 1967, Soviet citizens from Ukraine to the Caucasus reported seeing a crescent-shaped object, accompanied by a dot of light, streaking across the night sky. Similar reports over the same regions surfaced on Sept. 19 and Oct. 18, and continued through the spring of 1968.

This incident was Zigel's big break, with his reports shooting him to prominence. On prime time television, he urged Soviet citizens to report sightings of strange phenomenon. His reports were translated for NASA and drew considerable attention from engineers and Western spy agencies.

But Oberg believes people were seeing something different that day. Something perhaps no less terrifying.

It was "the greatest UFO cover-up in history." Rather than alien landings, Oberg says, Soviet citizens had witnessed a test of a top-secret space weapon known as the Fractional Orbital Bombardment System (FOBS). Able to orbit the earth until Moscow told it which city to target, FOBS could then re-enter the atmosphere and maneuver to its target.

Oberg says this would have looked like an orange crescent — flames from the engine forming a bow-like wake as FOBS slid backwards into the atmosphere — accompanied by a bright dot representing the spacecraft itself.

Soviet authorities later acknowledged that a weapon matching the description of the FOBS existed, but there was no visual reference with which to compare it. This re-entry maneuver was unique in the history of space travel.

Until last year, that is.

Oberg was watching a livestream of the re-entry and landing of a SpaceX Falcon 9 booster when something clicked. The Falcon 9 was conducting that same unusual maneuver that Soviet FOBS weapons were understood to have made in 1967. And photos of the re-entry clearly showed an orange crescent accompanied by a bright dot.

And with that, Oberg says, the Soviet X-Files can finally be considered closed.

"The most amusing thing is that then I finally understood why the American spy agencies wanted to study UFO reports," he says. "It wasn't, as Western UFO enthusiasts thought, because the UFOs were from another planet, but just the opposite." - Moscow Times.

UFO SIGHTINGS: The Latest UFO Sightings Across The Globe - April 1, 2016!

UFO lights over Massachusetts. See more below.

April 1, 2016 - EARTH - The following videos constitutes several of the latest sightings of unidentified flying objects across the globe.

WATCH: Amazing footage of a UFO over Massachusetts, United States - March 29, 2016.

Eye-witness report:
Driving towards the Village Commons in South Hadley, my friend and I could see two bright lights in the sky that kind of looked like head lights. They were just sitting in the same spot for a very long time. We could see them about a half a mile away.

As we got towards the center of the village commons, it looked as though the UFO was now over us. The two lights that we had previously seen turned into three very bright lights. As we were freaking out I had climbed into the backseat of the car and stuck my head out the window. I could see the three very bright lights in a triangle shape and as I was looking at them, I could make out the circular shape of the craft. It looked very low and gigantic.

Not long after it just sat above us and hovered, it started to move very fast and get far away. At this point, I needed to head home but my friend who witnessed it with me, continued to search for it after I left. She found it again on 202 in South Hadley and followed it all the way to Memorial Drive in Chicopee. She called me freaking out saying how close she was to it and that she was going to pull over to try and capture a picture.

As soon as she parked, she said she was underneath it like we were before, and then the phone started to act up. I started to lose her and eventually our call dropped. She called me back freaking out telling me she captured pictures and a video. I strongly believe that I saw a UFO tonight. You can watch the video and decide for yourself whether or not you believe my story.

Green UFO Caught Over Cajarc, France - March 28, 2016.

Eye-witness report:
I was taking pictures of French mountains with a friend, using long exposure time, on a small path close to the town, when I saw a strange light among the clouds. I first thought it was the moon but then I remembered it was a day of new moon. Besides, it was moving slowly, back and forth laterally. I was fascinated, I did not know what it could be at all, but it was beautiful, so I took a picture. It is a 10 seconds exposure so the object is blurry because of its motion.

The light around it looked unreal, as if it was a very powerful but very far object, above the mountains. That is why I thought then it was an UFO. My friend was amazed too. Gradually, the light became dimmer, and the object vanished in the dark in a few seconds. All that remained were clouds. We got home.

WATCH: Black UFO over London, England - March 26, 2016.

Eye-witness report:
The object, which didn't seen to have any solid shape seemed to fly towards an airliner as it was landing about a mile or two from Heathrow then seemed to change direction and fly away from the airport direction. There was no noise an it didn't seen to be going too fast..I thought it was strange that it was flying very close to the airport's inbound flight path.

WATCH: UFO over Moscow, Russia - March, 2016.

WATCH: UFO over Brazil - February 9, 2016.

Eye-witness report:
It was a Tuesday, the end of Carnival, around 23 pm, I was resting in the hotel room balcony (Hotel Villa St. Augustine - in Braganca Paulista) when I noticed a very bright object, which initially I thought was a plane that it was more than 1 hour in the same region of the sky. I took pictures and recorded video, which was what I could do, but to this day I do not know what I saw.

CONTACT: Anybody Out There - The Search For Alien Signals Expands To 20,000 Star Systems?!

April 1, 2016 -  SPACE -  The search for radio signals from alien worlds is expanding to 20,000 star systems that were previously considered poor targets for intelligent extraterrestrial life, US researchers said Wednesday.

New scientific data has led the SETI Institute to believe systems orbiting red dwarfs -- dim, long-lived stars that are on average billions of years older than our sun -- are worth investigating.

"This may be one instance in which older is better," said astronomer Seth Shostak of California-based SETI, a private, non-profit organization which stands for Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence.

"Older solar systems have had more time to produce intelligent species."

The two-year project involves picking from a list of about 70,000 red dwarfs and scanning 20,000 of the nearest ones, along with the cosmic bodies that circle them.

To do this, scientists will use the SETI Institute's Allen Telescope Array in northern California, a group of 42 antennas that can observe three stars simultaneously.

"We'll scrutinize targeted systems over several frequency bands between 1 and 10 GHz," said SETI scientist Gerry Harp.

"Roughly half of those bands will be at so-called 'magic frequencies' -- places on the radio dial that are directly related to basic mathematical constants," he added.

"It's reasonable to speculate that extraterrestrials trying to attract attention might generate signals at such special frequencies.”

For a long time, scientists ruled out searching around red dwarfs because habitable zones around the stars are small.

Any planets orbiting them would be so close that one side would be constantly facing the star, making one side of the planet very hot and the other quite cold and dark.

But more recently, scientists have learned that heat could be transported from the light side of the planet to the darker side, and that much of the surface could be amenable to life.

"In addition, exoplanet data have suggested that somewhere between one sixth and one half of red dwarf stars have planets in their habitable zones, a percentage comparable to, and possibly greater than, for Sun-like stars," said the statement.

UFO SIGHTINGS: The Latest MUFON Cases Across Globe - Arizona Hunter Encounters Black Triangle; Tennessee Witness Describes UFOs As "Snake-Like"; Delaware Witness Videotapes Square UFO; Triangle UFO Reported Gliding Over Columbus Sky; Virginia Witness Reports Possible Alien Abduction And Packers Quarterback And Friends See UFO! [PHOTOS + VIDEO]

April 1, 2016 - EARTH -  The following constitutes several of the latest reports of UFO sightings, courtesy of the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON).

Arizona hunter encounters black triangle UFO

An Arizona witness at Willcox who is a meteorological observer for the military recounts a UFO encounter from 2014 and questions his own reactions, according to testimony in Case 74926 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness woke up at 3:30 a.m. with “stomach trouble” while on a deer hunt on November 1, 2014, and left his vehicle.

“I observed a black triangle dart across the rims of the canyon we were camping in,” the witness stated.“Object made no sound.”

But the observation of an unusual craft did not seem to disturb the witness at the time.

“I seemed to not even care, got up and went back to my vehicle. Months later, I recalled the hunting trip and remembered the event. My actions that night were uncharacteristic as I have looked to the skies my whole life and never witnessed a UFO before. Why then, when I finally saw something I could not explain, did I brush it off as nothing?”

The witness does recall a memory of not wanting to see the UFO again.

“I do remember not wanting to see it come back as I fell asleep that morning.”

The witness details the sighting.

“The direction of flight was perpendicular to the northeast-southwest running canyon. I projected the speed to be about 500 mph at an altitude of 1,000 feet AGL. Object appeared to be between 50-75 feet of equal length sides. No lights. If it had not been for city light pollution on an overcast sky, I would not have noticed the object. The object made no sound whatsoever.”

The witness has a background in observation.

“See details in map sketches. I am a trained meteorological observer from the military. I know our traditional aircraft. This was not one of them. The other people I camped with slept through the entirety of the event.”

Tennessee witness describes UFOs as ‘snake-like’

A Tennessee witness at Knoxville reported watching black, snake-like objects moving slowly across the sky at 100 feet about 7:45 p.m. on March 26, 2016, according to testimony in Case 75447 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was sitting outside on a deck observing the sky.

“I watched four very high planes go by, with no sound, and emitting trails,” the witness stated.“Two of them went from north to southeast. Two went west to east. I thought that was very strange.”

But a few minutes later, the witness reported watching a black, solid, snake-like object move over the trees to the east.

“It was spinning very slowly to make a spiral-like shape. Appeared to be close, maybe 100 feet from me.

It was making its way very slowly toward the southeast.”

The witness then called for his wife to come outside.

“During the couple of seconds that I looked away to get my wife’s attention, the object had gone from maybe 100 feet away to extremely high in the sky, maybe 500 feet. It took my wife and 4-year-old daughter about five seconds to make it to the deck. By the time they made it outside, a second object had appeared near the first object.”

The second object was exactly like the first object.

“The two objects slowly ascended out of sight toward the southeast. All three of us watched the objects until they were out of sight. During the sighting, a fifth plane went by, from east to west, very high in the sky, with no sound.”

Tennessee MUFON is investigating. Knoxville is the county seat of Knox County, TN, population 183,270.

Delaware witness videotapes square UFO

A Delaware witness at Wilmington reported watching and videotaping a pulsating, square-shaped UFO low in the sky and moving toward the north, according to testimony in Case 71063 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The object was moving away from the witness.

“It moved slowly with no derivation from its course and moved away from my position toward the north. I had no idea what this object was and called it to my wife’s attention. I told her that I thought it was a UFO.”

The witness decided to videotape the object.

“I was excited by the object’s presence and immediately ask my wife for her cell phone. I was able to activate the camera and filmed the object for a brief time. I was only able to magnify the picture near the middle of the sighting and the video is at some points shaky. The object continued to move away from me a disappeared behind the tree line near the horizon.”

Triangle UFO reported gliding over Columbus sky

An Ohio witness at Columbus reported watching a silent, triangle UFO, that appeared to be translucent green moving under the cloud cover on March 15, 2016, according to testimony in Case 75230 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was outside walking north along a driveway heading toward a trash bin about midnight.

“I happened to look up and saw a huge, pale green, almost translucent triangular shape,” the witness stated.“I was able to see it for a few seconds before it disappeared over the trees.”

The witness described the object.

“It seemed to be possibly several hundred feet up under the overcast sky and was completely silent. There were no blinking lights, but the object glowed as if lit from within. I estimate that its speed was over a hundred mph and it appeared to be ‘gliding’ in a straight line going northward.”

The sighting was a little upsetting for the witness.

“Seeing the object made me stop dead in my tracks and made me feel a little nervous. I went inside and described what I had seen to my father and then went back outside to look at the sky for a while longer, but saw no other activity. There were no planes or helicopters in the sky when I saw the object or afterwards.”

Ohio MUFON Field Investigator Tim Kelly is investing this case which was reported to MUFON on March 16, 2016. No images or videos were included with the report.

Packers quarterback and friends see UFO

Last week, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers made headlines when he recounted a UFO sighting during a radio interview. This week, a friend that was present during the sighting confirmed the details of the event with one minor correction.

Rodgers shared his encounter on the podcast You Made it Weird, hosted by comedian Pete Holmes. He said the sighting took place before the 2005 NFL draft pick. He was in New Jersey for an appearance on ESPN’s Cold Pizza morning show.

After dinner with his friend and fellow college quarterback Steve Levy and Levy’s family is when the sighting took place.

Rodgers seemed hesitant to talk about it, but when he started talking it was clear it was something he was excited about, and remembered clearly.

Rodgers told Holmes:
“We were winding down at dinner and then there was a weird siren in the distance, so we go outside — it was a snowy night — and we went outside and it was one of those bright nights, where it’s overcast, but there’s enough light from the moon to see things and the next thing you know, we saw something in the sky.”

“It was a large orange, left-to-right-moving object. Because of the overcast nature of the night and the snow, you couldn’t make out, it was behind the clouds we were seeing, but it was definitively large in the night sky, moving from left to right,” Rodgers said. “Again, it was like 12:30 at night here. It was me, Steve, and his brother that saw it.”

“And it goes out of sight and we look at each other and go, ‘What in the f— was that?'” Rodgers said. “You could hear it moving. When it had been out of sight for like 30 seconds — and when I say 30 seconds, it felt like five minutes — at the time, we were kind of in shock.”

Rodgers says they then heard the sound of what he thought might be four fighter jets.

“You know the sound of a fighter jet when it flies by,” Rodgers said.

Rodgers was convinced what he saw was nothing normal, and says it was definitely a “UFO.” He also seemed to know a little something about UFO sightings.

“If you know anything about UFO sightings or you’ve done research, you know that a lot of times two things are connected to UFO sightings,” Rodgers said. “One, is the presence of fighter jets. And two, there’s a lot of sightings around nuclear power plants. So to tie it all together, the alarm we heard was from 30 miles out was a nuclear power plant that had an alarm that went off.”

Rodger’s friend Levy recently talked to confirming the sightings. He essentially agreed with the story, he just clarified that they were not in New Jersey, but at Levy’s family home in Cornwall, New York.

“I remember very, very, very vividly what Aaron was talking about,” Levy told “It was absolutely wild.” wrote:
Levy remembers it like this: A couple months before the NFL draft in February of 2005, Rodgers was in town to appear on ESPN’s “Cold Pizza” morning show. After a large dinner with Levy’s two brothers and parents, Levy said the group heard what sounded like a tornado siren in the distance. The family’s home was not far from a power plant, which could have explained the strange noise.

Levy, Rodgers and Levy’s older brother, Mark, went outside to check it out when they saw something they’ve never been able to explain.

“We went out to the back and there’s a huge tree line over the top of my parents’ property and we saw something,” Levy said. “We were like, ‘What the hell is that?’ We saw the reddish, orange, yellowish light that kept going side by side. It was quite large. And then it just disappeared. People were asking me what it looked like and I Googled warp speed and that’s the closest that it looked like, how it disintegrated. Like when you’re watching Star Trek and they go warp speed and all those lights just turn into lines. It just vanished.”

Dumbfounded, Levy, his brother and Rodgers stared at each other, mouths agape. Levy added even his younger brother, Eric, and parents, Mark Sr. and Angela, saw the object from the house.

Three of the top talent evaluators in the league were asked their opinions on the top running backs in the 2016 NFL Draft. Here is what they had to say.

“We all looked at each other and said, ‘What the (heck) was that?!'” Levy said. “We got very startled. It was like, ‘Oh my God. What just happened?’ We ran through the house screaming.”

Standing on the front yard about a minute later staring in the direction the lights went, “three or four” fighter jets suddenly tore past the house, Levy said.

“We heard this thunderous roar,” he added. “It was like an earthquake hit my house. When we saw that, we thought the world was, like, ending. We had no idea what was going on.”

Levy said he checked newspapers for weeks to see if there was any explanation for the object or jets, but never found any traces. Levy added his family’s home is close to both Stewart Air National Guard Base and the power plant, although he was never able to establish a connection.

Whenever Rodgers plays the Giants or Jets at MetLife Stadium, Levy said he goes to the game and the pair, without fail, talks about what happened that night.

“Every time,” Levy said.

And like Rodgers, Levy said he has no doubts about what he saw.

“I stand behind Aaron,” Levy said. “It had to be a UFO. There’s nothing else that it could be.”
Rodger’s UFO sighting continues to make headlines. The latest story by CBS Sports is about a tweet showing a reenactment of Rodgers’ UFO sighting at the South Park studios.

The original CBS Sports story asked whether Rodgers sighting would be enough to convince people UFOs are real. Listen to Rodgers’ interview on You Made it Weird and let us know what you think.

Virginia witness reports possible alien abduction

A Virginia witness at Norfolk reports a possible alien abduction after experiencing lost time and personal items that were moved, according to testimony in Case 75365 from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The witness was in her bedroom at 1:47 a.m. on March 3, 2016, preparing to go to sleep, when the incident began.

“I know the exact time because I told myself that I was still going to be able to get up early despite the time,” the witness stated.“I was sitting on my bed, then the next thing I know I am walking from my kitchen to the bathroom. I remember thinking to myself, ‘Why was I in the kitchen?’ I didn’t have food or anything in my hands.”

Events continued to be out of the ordinary.

“On the way down the hall to the bathroom I passed my bedroom door. And as I walked past I looked in the room as I always do passing doors, took two more steps, then stepped backward and looked in the room again.”

“There it was standing in front of my patio door almost as tall as the door. I froze and my jaw dropped. It turned its head, looked at me, and vanished through the door. I shook my head and went to the bathroom.”

The witness then realized there was a loss of time.

“When I walked back into the bedroom I looked at the clock and it was after 3a.m. I sat on the bed and tried to recall walking to my kitchen or what I had been doing this whole time, but couldn’t remember anything except a strange bracelet.”

The witness then felt compelled to draw the creature and the bracelet in hopes of clearing her mind and getting back to sleep.

“I told my husband about this in the morning. That’s when we noticed the furniture. I have my heavy jewelry box and it had been pushed away from the wall right where the creature had been standing. My husband and I felt that the stand having been moved was extremely odd. There would be no reason for us to have done it nor would either of us do it at random.”

The witnesses husband felt somewhat unusual too.

“My husband also recalled having slept heavier than normal that night. Though many things of this nature have occurred throughout my life I have never spoken out about them for fear of ridicule. I have many experiences, but only recently began to document what I remember as it happens currently. I hope by sharing this I can inspire others to come forward, or spark a memory of a similar event in someone else.”

The case was reported to MUFON on March 23, 2016. MUFON Virginia Field Investigator Robin Hills is investigating.
